2011 G25 Sedan

by admin on July 8, 2011

I took a long over due opportunity today to finally take a 2011 G25 Sedan out for a little drive in and around Norwood which included some highway time. I remembered when I was walking around the outside of the car of Infiniti talking about how the height and low profile give the car a subtle aggressive look. The one I drove was the all-wheel version, Platinum Silver with Graphite interior. The seats appear to be hand stitched and the trim is called “Shodo” aluminum and gives the appearance of rice paper. The console is very impressive and easy on the eyes. I found everything very easy to use. I adjusted the 8-way power driver’s seat and I was ready to roll.

Now for the ride, this car is powered with a 218-horsepower 2.5 liter V6 engine. The engine is mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission. I think this engine delivers plenty of power to move you in and out of traffic. The acceleration was crisp and responsive, the suspension was tight and because of the design of the car it handled very well even at highway speeds. It’s one very sporty car disguised as a sedan and was very comfortable too boot.

There were some other goodies on this car that are worthy of comment. The 17” inch aluminum alloy wheels come standard. It comes with heated front seats and mirrors (too hot today for that), dual climate control which I had running full blast, and a great 6 speaker stereo that included XM satellite. Standard USB port as well.

The G25 is offered in base sedan, Journey and AWD trim levels. Also for 2011 the Journey added rear view camera a new front fascia with the fog lights relocated to the lower corners.

All in all a very nice car!
